The Single Action Shooting Society will be holding a Buffalo Stampede at Founders Ranch, on Barton Road south of Interstate 40, on April 23-24.

Tinkertown Opens for 27th Season

The Tinkertown Museum on Highway 536 in the Sandia Mountains is open for its 2010 season. The museum,featuring 40 years' worth of collecting, building and carving by Ross Ward, is open from 9 am to 6 pm daily. The 22-room museum is located 1 1/2 miles west of state Highway 14 on Sandia Crest Road.

Tinkertown Museum includes an exterior wall made of more than 50,000 glass bottles, metal sculptures, a miniature animated Old West town and circus, coin operated fortune teller and other delights.

Admission is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children.

Lost-Pet E-Mails to Help Notify Public

An East Mountains resident has started a service to HELP pet owners who have lost their animals.

Joyce Lewis has started an e-mail alert service to notify residents throughout the East Mountains. Once the alert is sent to members, the members will in turn send out e-mails to their friends and family in the area. An alert can be sent out for found animals as well.
